Golfing in the Riverina
Whether you are a club champion or a weekend hacker, the Riverina is the place to enjoy some great rounds of golf. And the Riverina is renowned for great golfing weather.

The Riverina has much to offer anyone interested in golf. As you journey through the Australian landscapes and sample some of the nations best food and wine, you can discover national parks, picnic grounds, unique wildlife, heritage buildings, festivals, art galleries, walking trails, markets… oh, and some top rated golf courses!

Virtually every town in the Riverina has a golf course. Some may test you in ways unexpected. Below is a summary of some of our major courses. But wherever you play, you’ll enjoy the unique Riverina environment, the friendly people, and the great service at the 19th hole!

Happy golfing.

Griffith Golf Club
Set at the foot of Scenic Hill, the 18-hole course winds its way through native trees mixed with the ever-present wildlife. You can join the many kangaroos that have claimed the lush kikuyu fairways their feeding areas.

The course itself is a par 71 for the men and par 72 for the ladies. Although there are only two bunkers, the course is filled with plenty of trees and is a test of your ability if you stray from the centre of the wide fairways. The bent grass greens are a breath of fresh air in this arid region and they will often test your ability to read the putts.

There is a fully stocked pro shop for all your golfing needs, buggies and club hire. You can also try the latest in digital coaching through the V1golf computer system.

The Leeton Golf Club plays host to the richest Pro-Am golf tournament outside Sydney (the Sun Rice Classic).

The golf course contains picturesque waterways that play host to a variety of native bird life. The course even boasts being home for a small family of kangaroos that can be found enjoying the relaxed style of the 15th hole.

An assortment of eucalyptus and pine trees together with an array of colourful shrubs line the lush green fairways.
